Yesterday evening I was privileged to attend a lecture here in Auckland by Yasmin Mogahed entitled: Diseases of the Heart and their Cures. Masha'Allah her words were so inspiring that I thought I'd share some of the things I liked most with you. She started out by mentioning the hadith which says that what is halal (permissible, good for us) is clear, and what is haram (prohibited, bad for us) is clear and in between are the doubtful matters, and whoever lingers upon the doubtful matters will eventually end up doing something haram.
